772 patients from 68 urological departments took part in the study with alfuzosin 2.5 mg three times daily for treatment symptoms of BPH. The study lasted 3 months. The results and patients’ quality of life were compared with the IPSS score and AUA symptom score. Adverse events were minimal. The number of orthostatic hypotension was relatively low (1.8%). The benefit of the treatment for the patients with BPH treated with alfuzosin 2.5 mg t.i.d. was relatively good with a minimal number of adverse events.
