in Patients down with Migraine without Auras
The authors evaluated the effectivity of treatment of single migrainous attacks with zolmitriptan.
The cohort of patients was comprised of 20 patients with common migraine, suffering from
medium or serious attacks predominantly with a frequency of 1-2 times per month, who were
not treated by prophylaxis, suffering no other disease. The patients were chosen from a total
number of 206 migraine patients from a headache center. The age of the patients ranged from
18 to 50 years, average age was 33.1 years. There were 18 females and 2 males. Zolmitriptan
was evaluated as effective, well tolerated with maximally 10% of recurrent headache, which
had to be treated with repeated drug doses.
