Summary: The authors present the information on effective doses in more kinds of examinations than those
listed in the publication „Indication Criteria for Imaging Methods“ (Referral Guidelines for Imaging),
issued by EU and in Part 11/2003 of the Bulletin of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic
and information about the radiation risk associated with those examinations. Moreover, in the case
of methods of nuclearmedicine, the specification of radiation burden based onadministered activity
of radiopharmaceutical equal to diagnostic reference levels is specified in more detail.
