The author tries to present in the submitted review a brief integrated view on mutual relations of epilepsy and endocrine functions. The article is divided finto three parts. In the flrst chapter he mentions the influence of epilepsy on endocrine functions in the ictal as well as in the interictal stage. In the second chapter he mentions the effect of hormones on pilepsy and neuronal excitability with special attention to catamenial epilepsy, in the last chapter he mentions the effect of antiepileptic drugs on endocrine functions.
