The authors present the finding of intraluminal penetration of laparoscopically introduced adjustable gastric banding. They describe indication criteria, the principles and postoperative and long-term complications. They state, that the case is the first one described in the Czech literature, although it is not an exceptional problem. Possible causes of this complication are discussed.
