Current development in digitizing pictures of all regions human activities does not stand away from medical branch. Digitizing mamography pictures, is one of the most difficult area. It has its own specifications and possibilities. This article deals with digital mammography, compares digital mammography with film/screen mammography systems and specify most important conclusions, that should potential users take in consideration in clinical practice.
