Summary:

       Tracheobronchial amyloidosis is the rare disease of respiratory tract. The etiology is unknown, the disease is characterized by the deposition of amyloid, heterogeneous protein and saccharide, in the submucosa of respiratory tract. That depositions narrow the respiratory airways with produce endotracheal and endobronchial tubercules or deformations. The authors discuss etiopathogenesis, forms and classification of amyloidosis, in detail they analyse amyloidosis of respiratory tract. A case of a female patient with tumoriform tracheal amyloidosis is reported.
