Summary: Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) is a serious an frequent isease, the patient’s life is threatene by
potentially fatal pulmonary embolism.
Anticoagulation is considered standard therapy of DVT. Endovascular therapy is at present emerging
to become the routine method in DVT treatment. Endovascular therapy includes catheter- i-recte
thrombolysis an during the past few years widespread developing mechanical
thrombectomy. The aim of therapy is to reduce the number of complications, particularly pulmonary
embolism an post-thrombotic syndrome.
En ovascular therapy also plays an important role in the treatment of central venous catheter
malfunction.
