An important part of contemporary treatment of schizophrenia is the question of healthy life style. The educational programs for patients with chronic stable schizophrenia consistently improve the patient’s health and lead to lowering the cost expenses. In the Czech republic the Wellness Program has been opened since January 2005. The authors of this submission are bringing the first global information about the course of this program during it’s first year. The Wellness program is a new, free challenge for patients with schizophrenia to meet themselves, discuss their problems and to get new information.
