Acute toxic hepatitis following consumption of a herbal preparation

Summary: Acute toxic hepatitis can be induced by a range of drugs, it can also occur after the consumption of herbalpreparations. We present a case of acute toxic hepatitis following the use of a herbal food supplement forthe treatment of psoriasis. It is widely recognised that conventional medications can give rise to seriousadverse reactions, but this is also trae of herbal preparations even though they are generally considered tobe harmless by the lay public.
