Summary:
During a fifteen-month period, 107 sextant prostate biopsies were performed, a carcinoma was diagnosed in
31 cases (33.2%). The data were evaluated using the method of the conception formal analysis. The results
confirmed that the carcinoma of the prostate is being diagnosed in older age categories and that the tumors
restricted to the gland tend to prevail among the diagnosed. The family history in the observed patient group was
not significant. Diagnostics of the carcinoma of the prostate is easier in a smaller gland.
