Summary:
In cases of post divorce conflicts and animosity regularly some degree of programming of children can be found.
We can speak about parental alienation syndrome. In case of this disorder the child takes one of the parents
for absolutely positive and the second one as for absolutely negative. This syndrome can be found more frequently
since the mother is no more taken for the only suitable caregiver.
Post divorce situation is complicated and demanding the deterioration of health is often, quality of life decreases.
Child visitation interference is frequent as well as manipulation of children. The parental alienation syndrome
can be viewed as the most negative consequence of post divorce conflicts.
Situation of non-residential parent is very weak as residential parent has in child manipulation an effective
instrument to take control of the other parent and to punish him. There is no effective defence against such an
action. Non residential parent has no other choice then to accept this situation and to act defensively and tactically.
Only healthy personalities are able to behave in this way. Parents involved in post divorce conflict suffer
nevertheless very frequently from personality disorders.
