Summary:
The author followed up the medium-term results of cataract operations in five
patients with decompensated closed angle glaucoma. From the results ensues that
in patients with an intraocular pressure of less than 30 mm Hg surgery of cataract
alone has a positive effect on the compensation of glaucoma. An advantage is also
the standard surgical technique. The operation is made on an eye with a narrower
pupil and requires an experienced ophthalmosurgeon.
