Summary:
The submitted study analyzes after an interval of one to eight years the therapeutic results of carpal
tunnel syndrome by the classical miniinvasive surgical technique in a group of 513 patients subjected
to a total of 831 operations. It deals with the extent of the surgery, the presence of associated diseases
and their effect on the postoperative results. Attention is also devoted to the postoperative work
capacity of the patients. The assessed results confirm the authors’ opinion that miniinvasive surgery
can be considered the procedure of choice in carpal tunnel syndrome diseases.
