The aim of this paper is to refer about the development of the imaging methods of the temporal bone with the aspect of specificity of childhood. The authors compare classic and modern imaging methods in inflammatory diseases, injuries, congenital malformations and tumours in childhood. Maximal non-invasivity, fast, feasibility and right algorithm are most suitable for this age.
