The image of psychiatry in three twentieth century pieces of literature (K. Kraus - The Last Days of Humanity; R. Musil - A Man of No Qualities; A. Kutinová - Gabra and Málinka in Prague)
LAJKEP T.

Ústav lékařské etiky LF MU, Brno, vedoucí prof. MUDr. M. Munzarová, CSc.

Summary:

In an example of three literary works the author of the essay presents the opinion, that there exists a close connection between the language of science (or psychiatry) and to actual language in use. This contention shows that psychiatry regardless of its proclaimed objectivity is not free of values.

Key words: psychiatry - ethics - science - society - literature.
