Summary: The authors examined using transmission electron microscopy the pupillary
membrane in neovascular glaucoma. The membrane was formed by connective
tissue where fibroblasts, pigmentcells andcollagenfibres predominated. Thehigh
cell content suggested a high metabolic and growth activity.
