Summary:
The authors report the findings of 9 patients with classic migraine, which were chosen from 206
migraine sufferers, in 3 isolated migrainous attacks in each patient. Further the findings of EEG, brain
MRI and MRA in these patients were evaluated. The various types of visual aura were determined due
to its type, its duration, the relation to the headache period and according to the correlation with the
auxilliary investigational methods results. The aura symptoms evolved gradually, lasted in average 18.5
minutes, the visual aura was present in all cases, in most of the cases the headache period followed the
aura symptoms.
