The text is devoted to the use of embryonic cells in cloning techniques and to the cloning of human beings. The additional protocol to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Dignity of the Human Being with regard to the application of biology and medicine, on the prohibition of cloning human beings is discussed. The risk of compassionate humanitarianism is pointed out. Itmay lead to the destruction of all humanity. The prohibition should encompass the ban of the use of embryonic cells in cloning techniques as well.
