Summary:

       Some hemiplegic stroke patients can display unusual way of behavior which is characterised by very strong pushing from the side of brain lesion towards affected side in all positions. They resist to all attempts of passive correction to midline. Cognitive impairments can be also present. The opinion about the origin and symptoms is different according to the author interested in this problem. Rehabilitation approach to these patients has to be different from other stroke patients. Such a therapy is long term and difficult, but to reach the same results in ADL compared with other stroke patients is possible. To get these results, well coordinated multidisciplinary team with good knowledge of this syndrom is necessary.
