Summary:

The authors present two clinical cases of rare benign fibrohistiocytic tumors: atypical pseudosarcomatous benign fibrous histiocytoma (APBFH) and atypical fibroxanthoma. In detail they analyze their clinical and histological features and treatment modalities. The authors stress the necessity of consistent histological examination of excised lesions in relation to differential diagnosis with the use of immunohistochemical diagnostics (CD 68 marker, vimentin, XIIIa factor).

Key words: dermatofibroma with atypical cells - atypical (pseudosarcomatous) benign fibrous histiocytoma - atypical fibroxanthoma
