Double Trisomy (+13,+15) in Spontaneous Abortion

Summary:
In the study of 2050 analyzed spontaneous abortions (1992 - 2000) there four cases of double trisomy were detected. The authors present the case of a 34-year-old woman treated for primary sterility. An anembryomole was detected ultrasonically in the 9th week of pregnancy. Double trisomy 48,XY,+13,+15 was discovered by cytogenetic investigation of embryonic tissue. This finding represents the first case, according to our knowledge, of double trisomy of chromosomes 13 and 15.
