The authors present their experiences with new miniinvasive treatment of varicose veins – endovenous diode laser system. The results of 60 procedures treating truncal varices are reported with special concern to percutaneous access technique under ultrasound guidance. This newconcept based on haemodynamic ultrasound findings is compared to the traditional surgical technique of crossectomy and stripping.
