Smoking and its Relationship to Metabolic Syndrome and Civilization Diseases

Summary:

       Since 1988, the Metabolic Syndrome has been accepted by internal medicine experts: it probably the mostcommon disease in the developed countries. Smoking is an independent risk in development of all individual components of metabolic syndrome except the obesity. Thus the antismoking intervention and treatment of nicotine dependence must be involved into the complex treatment ofmetabolic syndrome.
