Carcinoma of the prostatě is a very serious illness in men above the age of 50 and it is prevalent in the Czech Republic. Up to now there is no standard screening carried out for this illness. One of the possibilities for detecting early stages of CaP is a PSA (prostatě specific antigen) examination. Implementation of this recommended examination to detect early stages of CaP in a generál practitioneťs surgery is one way in which to reduce complications of CaP in the male population above 50.
