Summary:

       Hydrocephalus is a well-known consequence of subarachnoid hemorrhage from an aneurysm. According to the literature, it leads to severe morbidity or mortality in up to 3 % of patients. The authors summarize studies of hydrocephalus, follow its relationship to the severity of the hemorrhage, source localization and to dependence upon age, gender and specific treatments.
