The journal is a professional journal under the auspices of the Czech Society for Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care. In addition to papers by Czech and Slovak authors the journal also publishes papers from abroad, written in English. It is a clinical, interdisciplinary journal and, in addition to anaesthesiology, it is concerned with problems of resuscitation and intensive (emergency) care, medicine of disasters, treatment of acute and chronic pain and problems of pre-hospital care. The journal is a useful manual for anaesthesiologists and doctors from a wide range of allied disciplines.
