Summary:
Because most imaging modalities fail to localize neuroendocrine pancreatic and duodenal tumours,
the authors tried to use helical CT angiography for their detection. 8 patients were investigated
during a period of 5 years, suspected insulinoma in 3 cases, suspected gastrinoma in 4 cases and
suspected VIPoma in 1 case. 3 insulinomas, 2 gastrinomas were found. 3 patients underwent surgery
and diagnosis was verified by histology. 2 patients were followed up by a clinician, surgery was not
indicated.
