Summary: The refractory form of autoimmune myasthenia gravis lowers the quality of life and leads to increased incidence
of fatal complications. Authors confirmed the favorable effect of mycophenolate mofetil in a group of
21 patients not responding to conventional therapeutic procedures. Positive effect of treatment was demonstrated
by the decrease of quantified myasthenic score and lowering the original dose of steroids. Adverse
effects were mostly insignificant, even though in 4 cases they lead to termination of treatment shortly after
initiation.
