Summary:

In 2000 the authors treated by an endovascular approach 54 patients with intracranial aneurysms. In 8 patients technical failures occurred. In 6 of them subsequently neurosurgical treatment was administered. In 46 patients the authors treated 50 aneurysms during 50 sessions. In six cases they closed the supplying artery, 43x they used GDC and in one instance a stent. All patients were checked after one month, two coiled aneurysms were overgrown. One non-ruptu- red, ophthalmic aneurysm and one AN on AComP on the right was at the time of treatment partly thrombotized. None of the patients developed repeated haemorrhage. The mortality and morbidity (MM) in the group was 4.8%.
