Fractures of skeleton, which remained unnoticed during conventional X-ray examinations, were demonstrated during MR examination and it became possible to follow the incidence of bone marrow edema. The evaluation of lesions of the knee soft tissues was in agreement with arthroscopic or surgical diagnosis in 92% of cases.
