Anterior sacral meningocele, a rare example of spinal dysraphism, is defined by herniation of the dural sac through a bone deformity of the sacrum. Two cases of symptomatic anterior sacral meningoceles are presented. The posterior approach was applied for the disconnection between the dural sac and the sac of meningocele. The literature on this topic is reviewed, clinical pictures and options of surgical treatment are discussed.
