Summary:
Anchoring of removable dentures by the telescopic and conus system is a matter
of routine in some neighbouring countries but in our country this system is practically unknown
and is not used. The author describes briefly the theoretical principles of construction of conus
and telescopic crowns, evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of this anchoring system
and outlines indications and contraindications. He demonstrates one clinical solution in
a patient with a different biological factor of abutment teeth.
