Summary:
Endoscopic surgery is conventional and principal operational
method in treatment of upper urinary tract
urolithiasis. Introduction of extracorporeal shock wave
lithotripsy to routine practice reduces number of endoscopic
operations, nevertheless it is still not replacement
of percutaneous nephrolitotomy. In treatment management
decisions, the main criterion is implicit effectivity –
„success rate“, eventually qoutient of effectiveness. It is
necessary to have in mind number, size, localization and
composition of urolithiasis, anatomical conditions and
individual circumstances.
Article reviews present opinions on indication criteria,
technic of surgery, management in complicated cases, as
stone burden urolithiasis, and summary of most common
complications and its solutions.
