Possible Evidence of and Undesirable Immune Reaction on Dental
Materials by the Test of Lymphocyte Proliferation in Peripheral Blood Bártová J., Procházková J., Krátká Z., Benetková K., Venclíková Z., Kučerová H. Výzkumný ústav stomatologický, 1. LF UK a VFN, Praha, přednostka doc. MUDr. J. Dušková, DrSc. |

Summary: A manifestation of altered tolerance of dental metal materials is an immune
reaction of the type of delayed hypersensitivity. For evidence of this reaction metal compounds
are used in skin tests or in the in vitro test of lymphocytes isolated from peripheral blood. The
use of skin tests has however its limitations. The lymphocyte proliferation test can be however
used for detection of the immune reaction to metals present in dental materials without
restriction.
