Summary: This paper describes the case of an 8-year-old boy with fracture of distal part of tibia
and fibula, with signs of acute extremity ischemia and injury of infrapopliteal arteries
demonstrated by angiography. After fixation of the fracture and reconstruction of
the artery, the following control angiographic and Doppler ultrasound examination
demonstrated free passage through the treated artery. The authors also present
a review of usual angiographic findings in arterial injuries and possibilities of subsequent
therapeutic procedures.
