Author presents current surgical management and consequent therapeutic methods in DCIS. A classification according to VNPI (Van Nuys Prognostic Index) is shown. Author defines basic oncological requirement for the surgical proceduře - tumor free margins. He discusses detection and examination of SLB (Sentinel Lymphnode Biopsy) in patients with this lesion. He mentions a change in epidemiological data of DCIS due to mammographic screening.
