Summary:
The authors demonstrate observations of three patients with dissections of two or more intracranial
arteries. In addition to the vertebrobasilar circulation in two patients one or both internal carotid
arteries or their branches were affected. A combination of MR tomography (MRT) with MR angio-
graphy (MRA) contributes to a more detailed diagnosis of dissections and their complications and
is suitable also for their follow-up. From a wider use of these techniques we may expect perspectively
that successful diagnosis of intracranial dissections will be closer to their actual prevalence.
