Are used guidelines sufficiently valid? What are their shortcomings and how can we to assess their quality? This short communication deals with these problems on the basis of study of recent publications. The communication emphasises the necessity of production of well validated guidelines, based on the EBM. Also the necessity of their proper application in real life is mentioned.
