Summary: Complete proteinogram of cerebrospinal fluid comprising analyses of 16 specific proteins was made, using the
nephelometric method in 863 patients with different neurological diseases. The authors’ own calibration
protocols for the BN II Dade Behring Nephelometer were used. This apparatus enables routine analysis of CSF
proteins, evaluation of the functional state of the blood-CSF barrier and the intrathecal synthesis of immuno-
globulins according to Reiber’s formula.
