On So-called Creative Illness Vacek J.: |
|
Summary: The author discusses the hypothesis of so-called creative illness submitted in 1964 to 1970 by
Henri Fréderic Ellenberger. His hypothesis, supported by references to the development of some
great personalities is considered by the author an attempted revival of former concepts on a relationship between disease and creativity, in particular the so-called Promethean myth on the
suffering genius.
