Summary: In recent years, percutaneous techniques have become an important tool for the treatment of
visceral arterial aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms. The paper reports on a case of percutaneous
treatment of an extensive pseudoaneurysm of the superior mesenteric artery using a stent graft.
The pseudoaneurysm developed secondarily to chronic pancreatitis associated with the formation
of a pseudocyst and subsequent bleeding into it. Successful percutaneous management resulted
progressively in almost complete disappearance of the original focus.
