In the paper there are presented results of research investigating incidence of delirium states of patients older than 60 years at two Czech gerontopsychiatric wards. Incidence of delirium states is lower than expected. Ascription of symptomatology in medical records is limited. Restraint of patients is ušed rarely, in our group it was ušed in 14,3 % of patients. Medication is adequate. Prognosis considering remission of symptoms is rather good, more serious is fate of patients, only two of them were discharged home.
