The author deals briefly with the etiology of CHH and then describes its diagnosis. He related to the fact that by means of clinical and laboratory methods CHH cannot be assessed reliably. Therefore he discusses in addition to clinical and biochemical diagnosis also immunological and histological diagnosis. Finally he describes treatment of CHH.
