The authors analyzed the reliability of measurement during a POCT study with multiparameter analyzers. Internal quality samples were assessed during three periods (measurement by staff only, measurement by laboratory experts and measurement by educated staff). It was concluded that continuous cooperation with the laboratory is essential for reliable POCT measurements.
