Summary:
Perilunate dislocation and fracture-dislocations are rare but substantial Ínjuries. These possible Ínjuries must
be particularly considered during primary examination because adequate and early diagnostics and surgical
treatment involving the repair of the ligamentous lesions and fracture osteosynthesis provide better functional outcomes compared to the treatment of chronic Ínjuries. Conservative treatment by reduction and fixation in plaster cast or by closed reduction and percutaneous pinning does not lead to favourable functional
outcomes.
