The authors present a case-history of a sexual delinquent with repeated relapses. They draw attention to pitfalls or ineffectiveness of hitherto provided protective sexuological treatment. The authors discuss also the quality of the patient’s life and of his environment. They advocate implementation of alternative methods, in particular protective detention.
