Summary: The authors describe the favourable experience with shon-term individual visits to specialized department (Radiological Clinic Faculty Hospital Brno) as one type of postgraduate education. They mention the conditions of maximal effectiveness of these stays: (1) ensure theoretical preparedness of students by providing textbooks and literatury, (2) define concrete problems in appropriate area of the discipline and outline the objectives of the stay from the aspect of clinical practice, (3) define the concrete concept of the stay focused on obtaining skill in implementing diagnostic and interventional prognostic operations and their integration in rational algorthms in interdisciplinary collaboration finto clinical practice, (4) making the postgraduate students familiar with the assumed developmental trend of the problem and subjects of contemporary research and (5) and creating prerequisites for further collaboration of the training department with the department of the postgraduate student in future.
The authors base their experience on a group of 70 participants of shon-term and long-term stays at the Clinic (60 from the CR and 10 from the SR) whose stay was in Glose organizational and methodical collaboration with the Institute of Postgraduate Medical Training in Brno at the Radiological Clinic of the Faculty Hospital Brno.
