The author compared the mean score of procedures in 10 departments of child cardiology (302) in Prague with corresponding nation-wide data, the latter being higher. In Prague departments a small number of examinations per day was recorded. The author compared also data on procedures, drug consumption and induced care on a nation-wide scale between child cardiology and paediatrics (301). From the investigation ensues that the needs for child cardiology departments in Prague is smaller than the present state, while the position is probably the opposite in some places outside Prague.
