„Kidney Sweat“ Sign. Diagnostic Contribution in Renal Failure

Summary:

       The authors describe a case of perirenal fluid in ultrasonographic (US) examination of the kidneys in a woman 32 years of age with clinical signs of acute pyelonephritis. Perirenal fluid appears in the ultrasonographic finding as an extracapsular hypoechoic rim, which is called „kidney sweat“ sign in the literature. An extracapsular hypoechoic rim is present in US examinations of patients with renal failure.
